About Parker Strode — Systems & Automation Engineer
I'm a software developer and systems engineer who builds the platforms behind large organizations — and ships products through my own studio, Anticline. I work at the corporate level across multiple brands inside one of the largest home-improvement retailers in the country. The work I'm proudest of is the stuff nobody asked for — the tool that replaced the spreadsheet, the automation that killed the email chain, the app still running in the field four years later.
My background is unusual: a design school education in motion media and programming at SCAD, five-plus years building internal software for a pharmaceutical company, then a front-row seat to a flooring company that grew — through acquisition after acquisition — into part of a Fortune 50 home-improvement retailer.
I'm all-in on AI — building the agents and automations that let me ship leaner systems and faster products than ever. Not the hype; the leverage. I work fully remote from Arlington, Texas.
Experience
Systems & Automation Engineer — Corporate
Building and maintaining software systems at the corporate level for a national home-finishes group, now part of a major home-improvement retailer. Shipped a two-sided field operations platform in daily use across field and office teams, contributed to a Salesforce implementation with custom Apex development, managed a portfolio of 20+ web properties, and built internal automation tools that reduced operational overhead across multiple teams.
National Acquisition Group
Joined a flooring company that merged into a fast-growing group, then expanded by acquiring flooring, cabinetry, lighting and finishing companies nationwide — surviving and adapting through every transition, and contributing to the systems that kept the operation running through each one.
Developer — Pharmaceutical Company
Five-plus years building internal software for a 20-person pharmaceutical company — sales rep tooling, inventory tracking, and a full suite of websites and graphic design. Led quarterly training sessions on software I built. The foundation of a career spent close to the systems businesses actually run on.
Founder — Anticline (web & app studio)
Design and development studio shipping web and mobile products — Kinfolk, Solemnly, Mapsmith, and more. AI-native products, designed and shipped end to end.
